TEATRO HERMOGENES YLAGAN's 1st ANNIVERSARY

In celebration of the 1st year anniversary of the Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan, the UP Playwrights Theater (UPPT) in cooperation with the Diliman Committe on Arts and Culture presents Ylagan's Tagalog sarsuela, "La Viuda Alegre" (Ang Masayang Balo). Translated into Tagalog in 1915, "La Viuda" depicts how love can prevail between a rich widow and her estranged lover, who refuses to avow his love to her for fear of being deemed a fortune-hunter. This witty and romantic piece, under the direction of Ogie Juliano, will run from February 12 to March 1 at the Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan, College of Arts and Letters, U.P. Diliman.
